Keeping the blog short this week. I will be honest and tell you I AM TIRED!
I've spent all week lost in the details of editing my manuscript. I am finally in the last stages of layout and should soon get the first sample copy of my new book, Clarify Your Purpose and Live It! I have learned a tremendous amount about book writing the last few years. I'm so grateful for this experience.
I am feeling blessed today that I have such an amazing support system around me. I have family that cares, friends that are understanding and helpful and business colleagues that are willing to collaborate. So many people have played an essential role in bring this book idea to manifestation.
Creating a team of positive, empowered people is a helpful (even essential) foundation for success. Take a look around your life. How is your support team? Are they draining your energy or lifting you up when you are down? Do they collaborate and cooperate or are the people in your life out to compete against you, even sabotage your success? Do you have people who come and go as they please or are do you have a team that is loyal and will go the extra mile?
Being surrounded by good people makes a tremendous difference in life. If you feel that you need some new teammates, why not write a list of all the traits you are looking for in enhancing your "success team."
Writing this list will give you a clearer picture of what you are looking for. Then, don't be surprised as you begin encountering the type of people you were hoping to find.
Wishing you a happy, successful, joyful week ahead!
with love,

Harness Your Power: Step - by - Step Adds Up!
Is it just me? Or, is time moving really fast these days?
I find that a day seems to go by as fast as a few hours. A week feels like it was only a day. I often sit and wonder how I will ever be able to make the progress my heart yearns for. It appears there just isn't enough time for everything I want to accomplish.
I have concluded that daily baby steps taken on my desires ADD UP! There are times when it feels like the little moves forward make no difference. I look ahead and the destination I am aiming for still seems so far away. Yet, with determination and passion, I stay focused and keep moving forward, doing whatever I possibly can each day to progress.
Keep taking your daily baby steps toward your dream. Don't give up. The effort you are putting in is worthwhile! Enjoy the entire journey. Each step provides essential learning for your soul's development. Be exuberant and joyful as you experience life.
Here are a few quotes I found that I thought might uplift you:
“Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” (Mark Victor Hansen)
"Progress always involves risk; you can't steal second base and keep your foot on first base.” (Frederick Wilcox)
"Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow." Plato
Keep moving forward!
I'm moving forward with you,

Harness Your Power: All You Need is Love
I want to keep things simple this week. I offer a gentle reminder that if you love yourself your whole life will change. You will blossom into the incredible, unique expression of LIFE that you are meant to be.
I have been seeing this in a 21 year old woman who adopted me as her mom about six weeks ago. When we met she was sad, depressed and in rather deep abuse and despair. In the past six weeks she has been transforming in the most remarkable way. In fact, she said to me yesterday, "Mom, I used to hate myself. Now, I am opening to self-love." I have been reminding her that she deserves to be loved.
I've been observing this change first-hand. Her faces and smile are brighter and she feels hope. She sees some new possibilities for her life. She has lots of steps to take to get where she wants to be in life, but she feels more energy and knows that she can do it.
All you truly need for radical life transformation is LOVE, deep love and acceptance for yourself. The more of this you give yourself, the more easily you will make choices that are good for you.
You can do it.
I send you my love, encouragement and support.
There is nothing wrong with you...you are created the way you are for a very important purpose.
Affirm this week: I open to loving myself more each day.
Say it with conviction. Offer up a prayer asking for help with this.
Miracles happen.
With my love,

Harness Your Power: Embrace the "F" Word!
You may think I’m crazy to say this, “I am proud when I FAIL!”
FAIL is a four-letter word many of us stay as far away from as we can.
None of us like to consider ourselves failures…we have come to believe that failing is something bad, something we should dread and avoid at all costs.
Maybe we’ve gotten our belief all wrong.
“Failure” is merely an attempt to do something that doesn’t work out the way we had wanted it to. Failure is for the courageous -- it is taking a risk, giving an idea a try.
Failure means we have boldly put ourselves to a test.
Failure is good. Failure is just another step of growth on the path of success.
Why aren’t you taking steps on your personal dreams for success?
Do you hesitate to act for fear of failing?
If so, consider the wise words of Barack Obama, “Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into action, or whether you learn from it, whether you choose to persevere.”
The only true failure is not trying, not acting when you know what can be done…the only real failure is withholding your unique talents, perspectives and action.
Please, my brothers and sisters--step forward and TRY! Just do your best in improving your life, your community and your nation. We need you to learn and grow. Growth comes from trying.
Trying hard and failing often…but always learning, growing and giving my best,

Harness Your Power: Stop Comparing!

It's so interesting how Facebook, MySpace and other sites have the power to connect us with people we haven't seen in ages! For some it's fun to reconnect, for others, it brings up some interesting issues.
Recently a young man approached me online via instant message telling me that he had reconnected with some of his schoolmates online. He then said, "That my problem." I wondered what he meant so I asked a few more questions. Come to find out he had begun feeling really bad about himself because he felt he wasn't doing as well as his friends. He felt intense pressure to figure out how to catch up!
Do we really need to "keep up" with our friends and family members? Does it matter if they appear to be more successful or further along in their journey than we are? Why can't we feel inspired when we see what others have achieved rather than thinking there is something wrong with us?
These are good questions to ponder this week. After much consideration, I've concluded that I'm happy for anyone who gets great results in their lives! Yes, I certainly am. If they can do it, then I certainly can. And, I believe there is plenty of success available to all!
When we feel unsure of ourselves and are looking outside for approval, it stirs up even more self-doubt when we come across people who appear to have their act together.
This week I challenge you to look at how often you compare yourself with others. Would it be possible to turn this negative, judgmental energy into something positive?
Here's a challenge. When you begin to do this comparison, stop. Then, instead, open your heart and mind to what you desire to experience in your life in the next six months. Focus on your dream. Affirm to yourself that you have the gifts, creativity and energy to create what you desire. Then, rather than thinking about "how far behind you seem," take some steps forward in your own journey!
We waste so much emotional energy worrying about an artificial hierarchy that society tells us we need to fit into. Let this go! Be YOUR BEST! Cheer others on as they become THEIR best.
Keep your personal power intact by stopping the comparison game.
Blessings to you,
If you feel stuck in any way with this, drop me an email at thoughtdr@patriciaomoqui.com .
